Worth remembering that as trees age they hollow out from inside. It is the bark that is alive, the outside of the tree. If squirrels peel the bark off then the tree will die - as the bark houses the arteries that would bring nutrients to the canopy. When you're yurting at Adhurst you're burning zero-miles wood (go sparingly!), walking (not driving) to the pub, re-using crockery, steel cutlery, cast iron cookware, glass tumblers, whilst not feeling guilty about plastic tents & disposable (NOT!) bbqs. Plus all our rugs, blankets, pillows and furnishings are fully biodegradable (no synthetics). Take it further and reach us by train (Petersfield Station from Waterloo) and walk to the pick-your-own farm - or to our vegan establishments in Petersfield... How far can you go?
